Noticing Hair Loss or Breakage? Hemp to the Rescue

http://detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080415/LIFESTYLE03/804150401Many women are plagued with premature hair loss due to pregnancy, hormonal changes, chemical treatments, and stress.  There are many products such as Nioxin and Murad that are known to reduce excessive daily hair loss but what if you want to use something natural?

We have found the answer!  If you have noticed a slight decrease in hair density or have experienced hair breakage due to a poorly executed color, perm, or relaxer this homegrown remedy will surely bring those locks back to optimum health.

Step 1: Mix 1 tbsp of each of the following teas:

-       Indian Hemp: Promotes hair growth

-       Nettle: Prevents hair breakage

-       Rosemary: Prevents hair breakage and loss

(StyleBell Tip: You can find these teas in your local natural market)

Step 2: Add to 2-3 cups of water and bring to a boil. Boil the tea mixture until water is a deep color (usually about 10 to 15 mintues).

Step 3: Strain the tea and add 1 tsp Boric Acid.  (Boric Acid is a natural preservative.)  Store the mixture in the refrigerator to keep.

Step 4: When ready to use soak a cotton ball in the mixture and apply directly on your scalp daily.  Keep the mixture on your scalp for about 5 – 15 minutes.  Rinse the hair with the mixture and then rinse out with warm water.

Step 5:  Continue with this rinse daily.  You will start noticing the difference after day 4 or 5!

Is Indian Hemp Oil the same as the Hemp Seed Oil that’s sold in many natural food markets? I’m having a hard time finding Indian Hemp and would appreciate any suggestions.

Just put a touch of the hemp solution and leave in. You don’t have to wash out.
