Another Reason to Love Aloe Vera, Hair Loss

Aloe VeraIs Aloe Vera the true cure all for every ailment under the sun?  I cannot attest to every ailment but Aloe Vera is fabulous for your hair and scalp and can even help to prevent hair loss!

Aloe Vera has been used for centuries as a remedy to cure and relieve common skin disorders in Native America, India, and the Caribbean.  This miracle plant has been used to help relieve skin and scalp disorders and keep hair healthy.

So what is the connection with Aloe Vera and hair loss you ask?  Aloe Vera is known to balance out the PH balance and stimulate the production of enzymes on your scalp which helps stimulate hair growth.  So if you are looking to prevent hair loss or just keep your locks healthy use this sure fire routine to keep your full head of hair on your head versus the bed!

Before going to bed, dab a bit of Aloe Vera on your scalp with your fingers or cotton ball. Massage in the scalp and hair.  Wash the next day.  If you would rather not sleep with the gel, put Aloe Vera in your hair first thing in the morning and then wash after an hour.  Remember longer is better!  You can find either Aloe Vera stalks at your local grocery store or nursery. Not into the natural stalks, use an over the counter Aloe Vera Gel.

My wife used aloe vera gel on her scalp where she was losing hair and new hair did grow back! (It was more fine than previous – but it was hair!)

Keep up the good work on you blog. – David

I’m experiencing hair loss and dandruff nowadays. Can the aloe Vera helps to minimize dandruff as well? It’s so irritating my head is always itching. I hope you can help. Thank you and make it a great day.

Aloe Vera is great for hair loss and dandruff. I would also add tea tree oil which will help reduce the dry scalp. Maijan is coming out with a dry scalp and thinning hair all natural oil treatment. That will be perfect for you! I will let you know when it arrives.

    Hi,
Unfortunately male pattern baldness is genetic and it is very difficult to stop the loss. You can try products like Aloe Vera, Nioxin, and Murad to help keep your scalp healthy strengthening your hair.

FYI from personal experience… Hormonal birth control can cause hair thinning as well. Had to get off them completely. The thinning has slowed but not stopped-yet.
