Cut Hair, Not Trees

Run don’t walk to the Paul Mitchell School nearest you for a haircut starting at just $10!  As part of their ongoing commitment to incorporate green practices into everyday activities, Paul Mitchell Schools will cut hair for a cause during upcoming Earth Week.   What are the details you ask?  Visit any Paul Mitchell school from April 20-24, 2009 to receive a $10-15 haircut and the schools will donate the hair clippings to Matter of Trust – an organization that creates absorbent hair mats to soak up oil at spills across the country.

At Paul Mitchell Schools, staff members belong to a learning community in which they can explore their talents, showcase their creativity, and make a difference by helping our planet while pursuing their passion.  This initiative is one of many that Paul Mitchell has taken to help maintain a healthy planet.  As a carbon-neutral brand, Paul Mitchell Tea Tree works with American Forests—an international non-profit organization that grows a healthier environment one tree at a time. Tea Tree funds the planting of enough trees to offset all carbon emissions from the brand’s manufacture and distribution, as well as help fund American Forests Global ReLeaf program, preserving our natural resources at home and abroad.

I love the Paul Mitchell Schools! They are always having such creative fund raisers and events for great causes. I attend The Ohio Academy (a Paul Mitchell partner school) and we always have great events on our calendar. Go Paul Mitchell!
