Blanc de Chine showcased their Spring 2011 Collection on October 14th, avoiding the mayhem that accompanies New York Fashion Week in September each year. The collection, featuring both men’s and women’s specialty wear was accompanied by hair looks created by Amanda Jenkins, Master Stylist at ARROJO NYC.
For the women, Amanda went for a clean, classic look with a twist (literally!). She created different variations of a bun, with many featuring a side twist. To get the look, she used Arrojo Gel, Arrojo Texture Paste and Arrojo Hair Cream to pull back the hair, finishing off the look with a spritz of Sebastian Shaper to tame flyaways.
For the men, Amanda slicked back the hair to create a “proper gentleman”. She used Arrojo Gel and Texture Paste to give the hair shine without creating a wet, hard look.
“I wanted the hair to accompany the clean, sophisticated looks of the clothing without being too simplistic,” said Amanda. Amanda created the styles for 6 women and 4 men who walked the runway at the Blanc de Chine 5th Avenue store with 35 different looks from the new collection.
This is simple but it looks easy to do and has something really modern about it. I’m going to try this out! Thanks!
