For the rest of the year, and into the winter months of 2012, here are the hair trends you can expect to see everywhere!
Simple, Chic Updos
When the weather outside is frightful, an updo sure is delightful! It keeps your hair from getting blown around, wet, and haggard looking. But these updos won’t be fussy, prom queen styles. You can expect to see a lot of simple chignons, twists, and ballerina buns. This season’s ballerina updos will be much lower on the head, and not as “poofy” as the topknots of earlier in the year.
Braids
Braids have been huge this year, and we’ll see the trend continue into fall and winter. These braids will be less piecey and bohemian, more romantic and “librarian chic”.
Center Parts & Deep Side Parts
When wearing your hair down, a center part is very on-trend for this season. They’re said to be face-slimming, but they also tend to emphasize the nose and forehead. The center part is probably the least universally flattering. If you can pull it off, you’ll look stunning, but it’s a deceptively difficult style to carry off.
An alternative suggestion is a deep side part– equally glam, still on trend, and much more flattering to just about any face shape. Side parts add drama and pull attention to your eyes!
Wearing your hair back is so simple and elegant, but is also great for winter because it keeps static at bay. I love the fishtail braid; Great for a night out or a day in the office. You can never go wrong with a chic chignon, either!
