Were you loving Taylor Swift’s AMA look as much as we were? Loving the combination of volume and bed-head… and more importantly loving how easy it is to recreated at home! Here’s how we would do it:
1.) For extra volume, we would start with freshly brushed, slept on, day-2 hair and give a quick all over spray of Batiste’s Dry Shampoo. This product will not only suck up all the dirty in your hair but it will help boost up your volume and complete the bed-head part of this look before you even start to style!
2.) Give your hair a good all-over tease, focusing most on the sides. Taylor’s look has a messy, somewhat side-swept part and crazy volume at either side of her part. My all-time favorite, not to mention super affordable, teasing brush is this little miracle worker by Diane. It takes all of the guess work out of teasing by combining teasing bristles and smoothing bristles all in one! Helpful hint: when going for a messy, but chic bed-head style like this one — it’s the perfect time to flip your hair over and tease from the underneath. Not only is this timesaving, but it helps to keep the not-so-pretty pieces of teased hair concealed under the smooth sections on top!
3.) Finishing touches are key! This is the fun and creative part ones your all teased and voluminous! You can customize this look any way you want by curling, or flat ironing as many pieces as you’d like. You can keep it more on the straight side like Taylor, or give it a souther twist by adding some loose curls. Either way — you’ll look fabulous!
She’s a goddess of beauty! I love the style of her hair. Very natural and charming. I think any girl can wear such style.
