Just in time for Mothers Day, we got lucky enough to get our hands on some must-have mommy products! Noodle & Boo is an all natural product line developed with the most sensitive and precious skin in mind — babies! Since us girls at StyleBell are all super passionate skincare, and everything all natural, we just had to try these out. I am SO happy we did! This line is so delicate and sweet and absolutely perfect for babies, but we had to see what these products had in store for Mom. After all, it is Mothers Day right?! We sampled the Baby Balm and the Ultimate Ointment from the moisturizing and protecting baby line. Here’s a little more about each of these products and why we absolutely loved them! Also, we found some pretty awesome mommy uses so that you can pamper yourself and baby at the same time! Not to mention how convenient and budget friendly it is to have products you can use interchangeably on yourself and baby!
Here’s a quick description from Noodle and Boo about their Ultimate Ointment: “Creates a moisture repellent barrier between the skin and sources of irritation. Contains active ingredient Zinc Oxide to help protect and enhance the natural healing process. Soothes inflamed skin with bisabolol and allantoin helping to prevent further aggravation.”
Feel: I love love love the super rich and creamy consistency of this ointment. It applies smoothly and feels incredibly lightweight but provides moisture and protection similar to that of Vaseline without the greasiness.
Usage: I loved playing with all of the different uses for this product. Because this product is ideal for diaper care, dry skin, and eczema, I used this for added protection for all of the areas of my skin that are exposed to the most damage. Hairstylist’s are constantly washing their hands and shampooing clients, so unfortunately, we tend to have extremely dry skin. I used the Ultimate Ointment on my hands after a long salon day and instantly felt relief from the dry, itchy skin! Not only did this sample come just in time for Mother’s day, it also came just in time for the summer! If you are like me and have fair skin, you know that there are those areas that get sunburned no matter how much sunscreen you use! For me, it’s my shoulders. I used the Ultimate Ointment on my slight sunburn on my shoulders after a day of grilling and family fun in the sun and the sting of the sunburn was gone by morning!
Results: Although this products designed for babies, it definitely should not be written off for Mommy! Not a mommy? I would STILL recommend picking up a tube of this ointment to keep on hand for small sunburns, eczema flair ups, chapped hands or psoriasis!
Noodle and Boo’s Baby Balm offers some of the same benefits in daily moisturizing form: “Provides long-lasting moisture and intensive care for extra dry, chapped or chafed skin. Calendula provides natural soothing and comforting properties for irritated skin.”
Feel: Not only do I love the feel of this lightweight baby balm, but I love that it has the same delicate smell of baby lotion with a much creamier consistency. Let’s face it, women have been using baby lotion for years as their daily moisturizing regimen because we love that scent but sometimes it’s just not cutting it for the moisture us grown-up’s need. This Baby Balm has the added moisture everyone needs, all while being sensitive enough for baby, too!
Usage: I used the Baby Balm as my all over daily moisturizer for a week (along with the ultimate ointment on my dry spots). It applied smoothly and a little bit went a long way!
Results: This is an absolute must have! This Baby Balm blows other baby lotions out of the competition. It smells fabulous, applies smoothly and quickly, which most moms need, and lasts ALL day without leaving your skin feeling greasy! Perfect for summer skin care!
